North Fork Mercantile ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from our store and how we use it.
Information we collect
Order details you give us at checkout: your name, email address, billing and delivery address, phone number if you provide one, and the items you order.
Messages you send us through our contact form or by email.
Basic information about how you use the site, such as the pages you view, the site you came from, your browser type and your approximate location. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
To process and ship your order and contact you about it.
To answer your questions and give customer support.
To keep our store secure and prevent fraud.
To understand how visitors use our store so we can improve it.
Payments Payments are handled by our payment provider. Your card details go directly to the provider and are never stored on our store. We only receive details such as the card type, the last four digits and a transaction reference.
Analytics and advertising: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our store. [Include once live: We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads on Meta platforms.] These tools use cookies and may collect your IP address and browsing activity. Google and Meta handle that data under their own privacy policies.
Cookies: Our store uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping items in your basket. It also uses cookies for analytics [and advertising]. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store may then not work properly.
Sharing your information: We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with other parties for their own use. We only pass on what is needed to take payment and deliver your order, for example to our payment provider and shipping carriers, and to the analytics tools described above.
Where we sell: We currently ship only within the United States.
Your choices: You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep some order records for tax and accounting purposes.

Before you publish:
Only keep the Meta Pixel sentence once the pixel is live. Remove it until then.
Meta Pixel and advertising use usually require a cookie notice. Free Cookie Consent is available in the Apps section.
